Scrutiny of Review of Broadband Access

The Digital Derbyshire programme is a partnership led by Derbyshire County Council and BT to bring faster broadband to parts of Derbyshire - mainly rural areas - where fibre broadband has not been installed commercially.

The programme aims for 98 percent of homes and businesses in Derbyshire to be able to access speeds of at least 24Mb per second by the end of 2018.  For the other two percent of properties in really hard to reach places (where it's not possible to provide fibre broadband) the aim is to provide access to at least 2mb per second by the end of 2018, which is enough for general web surfing and sending emails.

The Parish Council have been asked to feedback to DCC how well the Digital Derbyshire programme is meeting the needs and expectations of their community.  Therefore, if you would like to contribute to the review, please email your comments to the Clerk at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
